Call Jerkowitz’s bluff. Internationally, the consensus is on your side and growing. Although the US media will not present the truth of how Americans feel, the sentiment is there. The fact that you have singled out Israel speaks VOLUMES about the real intent of your organization. Call a duck a duck -plain and simple you people are interested in the destruction of Israel period, just like the Hamas dogma. In addition, you have said nothing of terror attacks against Israel , rockets fired upon them, the abuse of Hamas against the Palestinian people, not to mention the obvious indifference to violence and human rights violations in Sudan, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Zimbawe etc. etc. etc. It is clear you are taking Naive college students and corrupting them. Do you have no shame?

When Dershowitz openly threatened individual students, several students and parents and supporters from around the world called on the admin to condemn Dershowitz' bullying. Instead of doing that, they chose to write to Dershowitz in an attempt to appease him while continuing their campaign to depoliticize the success of our campus' movement to divest. And they did it in a way that didn't challenge the notion that to divest from the occupation or to criticize the Israeli government is anti-Semitic. Rather than challenging this accusation, they bow to Dershi's tired rhetoric in a way that's right out embarrassing for them, to be real. And in so doing, they implicate that the message of SJP (supported by the majority of this campus' students) is anti-Semitic in nature.

This of course opens the students involved to more attack, as far as I as an individual am concerned.

And for this, I am all the more disappointed in our spineless administration.

You have failed. Face it. Nice try. Your "victory" reminds me of Hezbollah absurdly declaring victory in Lebanon. According to the clarification, 2 of the six companies are still in the new mutual fund. Also, Hampshire College invests in companies owned by Israelis and operated in Israel. You may have started the administration thinking about socially responsible investing, but they saw through your thin veneer of "justice". You are simply a front organization for groups seeking the expulsion of all Jews from Isreal.

Give it up already! Divestment is a statement and it is a statement that Hexter is not willing to make. Claim victory all you want but he did not divest from Israel- or the occupation. They didn't even directly divest from those companies rather an entire fund. And they said that there were a number of companies that did not meet their requirements but were clear that they were not talking about anything to do with Israel. The only thing that you have managed to do is make Hampshire look bad.

"The bottom line is that before February 7th, Hampshire College was invested in companies that directly profitted from Israeli occupation. Today, they are not." Except Motorola and Terex. Really, man, is that the best you've got? You guys are total liars. Hopefully, you will be ousted from the school. I don't think that Hampshire needs students with such a total lack of integrity. That is completely different from a "free exchange of ideas", which is clearly not happening here. Heard members of your group even gave catcalls to students who stood up for Israel? Classy.

There are two major problems with this article 1. The Administration never claimed that they were divesting from the occupation- or making their decision based on SJP. The ONLY statement they have made is that the decision has nothing to do with Israel. 2. The Administration did not back down because of Dershowitz. If they were going to make a stand and be the first college to divest from Israel because of the occupation then they would have expected, anticipated and prepared for a battle over this. You guys need to accept that your victory was false, your propaganda was a mistake and stop blaming Dershowitz or anyone else.
